Israel Air Force strikes rocket launcher in Gaza Strip
Airstrikes were in response to immediate threat of rocket launches, Israeli army says; Hamas reports no injuries or damage.
Israel Air Force planes attacked sites in the Gaza Strip on Friday, the Israeli army said.
The strikes in the northern Gaza Strip were a response to an immediate threat of rocket fire into Israeli territory, according to the Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson's Unit. The army confirmed that the Air Force hit rocket-launching equipment in Beit Hanun.
Hamas said on its website that the strikes caused no injuries or damage.
On Thursday, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian suspected of plotting a terror attack in the West Bank town of Birzeit.
