A resident of Yehud was stabbed to death in a brawl at his home on Friday night, police said. Another man was gravely wounded and a third sustained mild injuries.
According to police, a patrol unit from the Mesubim police station was summoned to the house on Nordau Street in the town at around 11 P.M., after receiving a call from a neighbor who reported hearing loud shouting coming from the yard. On entering the yard, police found a man in his 40s, who had been stabbed several times. Two other wounded men were found inside the house. An Magen David Adom team summoned to the scene declared first men dead, and took the other two to the Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer. A fourth resident of the house was apprehended on a nearby street a short time later, and was being treated as a suspect, police said.
Police said they believed the four men had been drinking heavily, and began to argue among themselves. The argument then deteriorated into a brawl, in which one of the men stabbed the other three. Major General Shachar Ayalon, the commander of the Tel Aviv district, arrived at the scene and authorized the special investigative unit of the Dan region to continue the investigation.
