Soccer star postpones wedding after vicious tackle
WATCH: Bnei Yehuda midfielder Rafi Dahan was due to get married in three weeks, until Maccabi Haifa's Ruben Rayos' foul.
Israeli midfielder Rafi Dahan will probably have to postpone his wedding after a horrific tackle by Maccabi Haifa's Ruben Rayos.
In Sunday's Israeli Premier League game between Bnei Yehuda and Maccabi Haifa, Rayos slammed into Dahan with a two-footed tackle, leaving him on the ground in excruciating pain.
Dahan's wedding is only three weeks away.
Bnei Yehuda were leading 2-1 at the time, but Maccabi Haifa managed to score in the 96th minute of injury time, leaving a final score of 2-2.
“Rayos tried to end my career… I will never forgive what he did to me. It's a crime,” the midfielder said.
Rayos, a former Barcelona B player, was sent off the field after the foul and is likely to face a long ban. Dahan, meanwhile, is looking at a long time off the pitch due to his injury.
