Rolling Stones pick Israeli rocker Rami Fortis as warm-up act
The Stones will be playing their long-awaited show on June 4 as part of the '14 on Fire' world tour.
For those of you who were wondering who the Rolling Stones would choose as the warm-up act for their June concert in Israel, the wait is over. Rami Fortis, Israel's punk rock pioneer, is the lucky musician to land the gig.
"To say that this is exciting is an understatement," Fortis said in a statement released by promoter Shuki Weiss.
"I'm playing it cool, but I'm trembling. I am almost the same age as them, and this band has accompanied me all my life and until today - I have no doubt that they are a huge soundtrack and source of inspiration for me."
The Stones will be playing their long-awaited show on June 4 as part of the "14 on Fire" world tour. It was reported that the British rock legends will get $6.7 million for performance.
