The Haifa bowls club hosted the finals of Israel's annual interclub leagues this week.For the Ra'anana men started the day with the Premier League trophy already secured, and they simply added the icing to the cake by winning both games against the hosts.
Jeff Rabkin with Colin Silberstein and Denis Phillips won 19-12 against Haim Shefer, Yossi Greenberg and Jack Lief, while Raymond Sher, Alec Goldsmith and Zvika Hadar beat Harry Katz, Moshe Makovsky and Arie Ben-dor 20-19, after trailing 12-19.
Ramat Gan ended runners up when they won both games against Savyon.In the men's premier B Division, the Netanya side of Norman Panovka, Selwyn Aronson and Gus Sadowitz won promotion to the A Division by winning 21-10 against Ramat Hasharon.
In the women's Premier League, Ra'anana started the day one point ahead of Haifa but dropped both games against Ramat Gan.
Haifa came through for the trophy when Miriam Pappenheimer, Tova Liberman and Noga Bachrach won 15-13 against Kiryat-Ono while Jacqui Liebertahl, Ester Ish-Shalom and Irit Grenchel beat Jenni Tzafrir's side 21-9.
Ra'anana won both Pennant leagues. In the men's round robin, Ra'anana's Faz Kusman, Meir Judeiken and Itzik Waxman won 21-3 against Haifa's Jossie Peled, Baruch Liberman and Rafi Dagan while Ramat Gan's Dror Zomberg, Moshe Braun and Amnon Amar had a good 18-14 win against Ra'anana. But in the final play off, Kusman's trio outplayed Zomberg's side 22-10 for the overall Pennant Trophy.
In the women's round robin, Ra'anana's Louise Braverman, Shirley Kantor and Maty Lebanon won the trophy.
