Yad Vashem launches YouTube channel for Iranians
YouTube channel aims to educate Iranians about the Holocaust, as Iranian President Ahmadinejad reiterates his belief that the Holocaust is a myth.

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has reiterated his opinion that the Holocaust is a myth and said Israel should be wiped off the map. The country also hosted a conference several years ago questioning whether the Holocaust took place.
The YouTube channel was announced on Sunday to coincide with the United Nation's upcoming annual Holocaust remembrance day.
The chairman of the Yad Vashem memorial said he hoped the site would allow viewers to connect to the Holocaust on a personal level, separate from regional politics.
Yad Vashem already has YouTube channels in English, Hebrew, Arabic, Russian and Spanish.

Iranians followed the popular telenovella that showed Iranians protecting Jews during the holocaust. People probably forgot about that because US/Israeli media only makes the country sound anti-semitic.
The central issue is the (Iranian) perception that those who focus on the Jewish holocaust are ignoring other things. The solution is only a dialogue. Yad Vashem should sponsor the "deniers" conference. Let the chips fall where they may.
Very few Iranians need educating or convincing of the tragedy of Holocaust Ahmadinejad and Co -do not represent a vast majority of Iranians who are Israel`s only real and de facto Mid east ally, it is a pity that Israel is creating so much problem for the people of Iran who are mostly absolute admires of Israel, hurt the government not Ether`s people.

What a waste of money. Why do I get the feeling that Simon Wiesenthal Inc are behind this move? Still justifying their sinecures.
with all due respect, i wish we could live for the future, and stop reliving someone else's misery, how many millions of times, do we have to be reminded of their pain, i do not believe any changes will happen in the middle east while this country is holding it's security blanket instead of trusting in their god and his word. they seem to live on pity and not faith, pain and hurt is not a pleasant thing, but people get tired of hearing about it.
but the long run is very long indeed.

It is sad when men attempt to deny history to further their own ignorances. It is more a shame when they forcefully deny the existence of true tragedy within the confines of their own people. This is a good thing, to educate and make aware a lost people. Ignorance breeds hatred, baseless and unfailingly. Make wise the future generations, that they might not repeat the errors of their forefathers.
