An egg nostic person of Jewish heritage I have struggled To reconcile science and religion so that I may be able to believe in God of Israel But it is things like this that push me further away from the Jewish religion in any religion for that matter. if I had to choose the place of worship it would be a form or humanistic synagogue. I am off the believe that if there is indeed a god he would get that the things that use to be considered an abomination has been proven otherwise by science and once at proof is there the laws and interpretation of the Torah should be changed to keep up with the times. I find it ridiculous that anyone thinks that homosexuality can be cured and this is 1 major problem I have with organized religion.
thank you
