Purim’s violent side

We cannot have our day of fun on Purim without first reflecting on violence caused toward women, with the Fast of Esther; thus, this Jewish holiday must be seen as a two-day observance that encompasses solemn reflection and unbridled celebration.

  Yes it's true that in the story of Purim they tried to kill us, but G-d is not mentioned in the story. The Jews intervened and saved themselves, and yes, it is important for us to work and fight for our place among the nations and to create the nation we want. One that can defend itself against those who wish to destroy us and safe for all Jews to live and pray in according to their choice of Jewish worship (read pluralistic society).
