Last week I became reacquainted with a Midrash that seemed to offer a perfect response to two current issues in the Jewish world. Firstly, the ongoing battle in Jerusalem as to whether buses should be able to display adverts with women on them. Egged was so worried that ultra-Orthodox people would vandalize and even stone busses that displayed the female form, that they hatched a plan to ban all images of humans...
