The Polish state doesn't have the money or time in this depression to go about a legal case trying to prove what is already controversial and convoluted. Evidence is Auschwitz was a Jewish labor area. Evidence is that labor was used in vital German oil refineries. Evidence is those oil refineries were bombed. Yes, the boy was coached by his father (as a grown man he gave an account of the event) and the militia men spread the rumors. There was no mob of local townfalks however - it was Sunday summer afternoon, nobody was walking around Kielce with weapons, which posesion was by the way forbidden under severe punishment. The whole thing was orchestrated by NKVD and executed by local UB and military serving the soviets. Remember, that in Poland war did not end in 1945. Poles still faught the Soviet regime untill 1947. I agree with #49. I grew up with Auschwitz survivors. There is no forgetting. But why would we try. Remember - those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. We must never forget! Propaganda? The Jewish people don't need to use their history. They have survived and will continue to survive and thrive. No Jew denies the murder of other innocents(Poles,etc.) at the hand of the Nazis. That has noth ng to do with the price of tea in China.
