BOSTON – The idea of giving young Diaspora Jews free ten-day trips to Israel was born as a radical and moneyed attempt to stave off assimilation. But over a decade later it’s also young Israelis who feel more Jewishly identified after taking part in Taglit-Birthright Israel, researchers say.
