N.Y. shul rabbis backtrack on support for Palestinian UN bid

Unfortunately, this situation is so typical of the progressive liberal left synagogues in the USA. They are well meaning people who bend backwards to help the enemies of Israel. In my humble opinion, they are the same as the extreme right wing Hasids who meet with the bully from Iran. Both extremes are wrong. The only solution is direct negotiation with the Arabs but they do not want to sit and talk because they believe that they can get everything without negotiation and these extremists do not help the cause. Hamas is not interested in talking. They just want to wipe the Jews off the map. That is a fact which these people ignore.

From the moment he arrived at B'nai Jeshurun, Rabbi Marshall Meyer exhibited the same courage and dedication to the highest principles of social justice and human rights that, at great risk to himself and his family, he displayed in Argentina during the rule of the Colonels. After his death, the rabbis, who were his disciples, carried on the tradition of speaking out for human dignity and for those causes championed by the prophets of old and enlightened people in our day. May these great leaders of B'nai Jeshurun go from strength to strength in their efforts to educate their congregants and inspire Jews and non Jews alike to create a better world.

Time for the troika to look for new jobs. I don't think their contracts are getting renewed.
