NEW YORK – On Thursday, the rabbis backtracked. In an unusual mea culpa, the three rabbis at the helm of the progressive synagogue Congregation B’nai Jeshurun, on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, sent a note to congregants all but pleading for forgiveness.

Unfortunately, this situation is so typical of the progressive liberal left synagogues in the USA. They are well meaning people who bend backwards to help the enemies of Israel. In my humble opinion, they are the same as the extreme right wing Hasids who meet with the bully from Iran. Both extremes are wrong. The only solution is direct negotiation with the Arabs but they do not want to sit and talk because they believe that they can get everything without negotiation and these extremists do not help the cause. Hamas is not interested in talking. They just want to wipe the Jews off the map. That is a fact which these people ignore.
thank you
