Jewish, Muslim leaders blast German court's decision to outlaw circumcision

What German Courts decided is fair. What moral authority we have to condemn the so-called "female circumcision" if we approve doing the same to our baby males?

Unfortunately Islam lacks the position of mohel. If you only do one job, you tend to do it well, whereas pediatricians, unfortunately do many different jobs

Any potentially harmful body modification of infants should be prohibited in the West - no matter whether Muslims like it or not. Islamic societies have a tradition of physical violence against women and children.

Besides, they can always drive to nearby country where circumcision is permitted. It would be helpful to know the name of the surgeon who performed circumcision so badly that doctors have this opinion regarding practice. Shouldn't he be imprisoned for causing harm to patient?

I though things like this happen only in the US and Canada. I am Christian and circumcised, and I have had my boys circumcised as well. None of my boys have questioned my right to have them circumcised at birth and when the time comes they will make the same decision for their own male children. This is a parental right, like choosing their school.

If they had self-respect, they should've go to leave there to start with.

For allowing children to have the freedom of religion and not be scarred by their parents belief system.

Circumcision is mutilation of defenseless newborns, nothing less.
