This is very very embarrassing. Israel is getting hijacked, for a lack of better term, by the ultra orthodox and the right wingers. Women can't walk on the same side of the street as men, little girls get accosted walking to school, women to the back of the bus, Askenazi Haredim demand separate schools for their kids and the sephardim/mizrahim, etc. etc. etc. With progressive/moderate/secular having one child for every six that an ultra orthodox family has, the ration of sane/reasonable individuals to the unbending ultra orthodox/extremists is soon going to be 1:million (exaggeration, but you get my point).
