It could be that he was simply prioritizing. He is, after all, just a man and not a god. He did have millions of his own faith that were in harms way.

It is very fashionable to beat the Vatikan in our days. The Pope is a moral authority in questions of War and Peace and it is as souvereign as Israel No foreign country has any right to "truth" no matter how good the intentions are. All states are equal, the occupied Palestine included.

It is ashame. The diplomacy of Yad Vashem is not right at all. So, I am not surprising that in front of the expulsion of the South Sudan comunity and the racism on the streets, Yad Vashem prefer not to say a word. When I say goodbye to our sudan neighboors and felt the atmophere of the fascism here, between us. A small group of people have to left our cities, under the sun, in two busses, and they go to the miserable refugges camps. Where is Yad Vashem?

Except for providing an attention grabbing headline, once you read the article it doesn't sound like the Vatican had much to do with this. Especially since the change in the text isn't exactly earthshattering.
