A funeral will be held on Wednesday in Columbus, Ohio, for two Israeli children who were stabbed to death by their father in central Israel on June 11.

According to the Columbus Dispatch, the funeral will be held at 11 A.M. at the Beth Jacob Congregation. Burial will follow at the New Beth Jacob Cemetery, 2565 Performance Way on the South Side.

Yishai Levy, 11, and Sara Levy, 10, were killed in Yashresh, a moshav near Ramle, while visiting their father, who has since confessed to police that he stabbed them in his home.

The children, who had been living in the United States with their mother since their parents divorced, had come to spend the summer vacation with their father.

They had arrived last Wednesday morning. That night, for no clear reason, the suspect allegedly tied the children up, stabbed them repeatedly and slit their throats. He left their bodies in his house, drove to the Ramle police station and told the duty officer, “I murdered my children,” police said.

The suspect was detained for questioning and his name was banned from publication. On Wednesday morning the Rishon Letzion Magistrate’s Court extended his custody by one week.
