U.S. ultra-Orthodox group calls on Rabbi Sacks to apologize for perceived Haredi slight
Agudath Israel says that the retiring chief rabbi of the United Kingdom's Orthodox communities slighted Haredim at his retirement dinner with remarks about insularity of certain Jewish groups.
At his recent retirement dinner, Rabbi Jonathan Sacks decried the insularity of certain Jewish groups as inimical to the progress of Judaism. Now, Agudath Israel of America, perceiving a slight against its community, has issued a statement criticizing Sacks.
