South Africa has dealings with Iran and Lebanon, both states that are loyal allies of the murderer of 30,000 human beings. And South Africa is raging about labeling West Bank Israeli products? Priorities I guess. Geez, I get it? I'd love to get the answer to some questons. Where was South Africa when Israel was invaded repeatedly, invded with a view to liquidating her? Where was South Africa when Jews were persecuted, maimed, and killed in Arab lands. Why is South Africa happy import goods from those countires and those that are killing their own Arab populations. Where was South Africa when the Jews living in Arab states who were lucky enough to not be killed, were robbed of all they owned before they were expelled from Arab lands and, of course, signed forms indicating that they were leaving voluntarily? What do South Africans know know about the history of the area, namely that the persecution of Jews by Arabs in the area occurred before the intifadahs, before the 1973 war, before the occupation, before their was a state of Israel and before there was even a concept of zionism. It was in earnest when Jews formed the majority of the populations of Jerusalem, a persecuted majority, in the 1850's As to the Pals, overwhelmingly they hae no historic connection to the West Bank or Gaza. While a small minority do, most can only trace their ancestry to the Syrians, Jordanians, Egyptians, Lebanese, and Iraq's who emigrated from their countires for the economic opportunities that were created mostly by the migration of Jews to Israel. In short, South Africa's postions turns the world on its head and is simply unjust.

Wendy Kahn seems to have a problem with honesty. These products cannot be labelled as made in Israel. Occupied Territory is just that...not Sovereign Israel. To mark them as made in Israel is dishonest and misleading.

What is appalling is Israel's denial of their occupation of the Palestinians. The entire international community disagrees with you, you can't win this battle.
