Hundreds of Haredim clashed with police forces in Beit Shemesh on Thursday injuring a police officer, following the death of a 10-year-old boy in his home.
When the police arrived at the scene, hundreds of ultra-Orthodox Jews started to congregate around the boy's home, apparently in fear the boy's body will be evacuated and undergo an autopsy.
The confrontation went on to escalate to serious clashes, and several individuals even tried to break into the boy's home and snatch the body from the police. The police was eventually able to scatter the crowd, after a police officer was moderately injured and two men were arrested.
The boy's body was evacuated only after several rabbis and community leaders intervened. The cause of death of the boy still remains unclear, though police said there was no indication of it being criminal.
