This Quirky English Cover of a Classic Israeli Children's Song Is Inexplicably Sweet

'Makela aliza' – or 'happy choir' – gives voice to the different birds of the forest, but you've never hear a cover quite like this

A folk parody duo of Israelis going by the name of the Cliché Pair have posted what is arguably the catchiest and strangest rendition of the classic Israeli children song "Makela Aliza" – or "Happy choir", and in English.

The song, originally performed by Israeli folksinger Chava Alberstein, gives voice to the different birds of the forest, and something about the pair's English version manages to preserve the song's childish charm.
