Conan O'Brien, currently in Israel on a five-day trip filming a special for his TBS show "Conan," has quickly become acquainted with Israel's budding food scene.
Upon arrival, the late-night funnyman visited Taizu, a critically acclaimed restaurant in Tel Aviv which "explores Chef Yuval Ben Neriah's personal culinary journey and exploration of local street food from five Southeast Asian countries: India, China, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia."
Conan's team then had a classic meal of "10,000 lbs of bread and hummus" before visiting Topolopompo, a critically acclaimed Asian restaurant which won first place in the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards for the best-designed restaurant in the Middle East and Africa.
Before leaving Tel Aviv, Conan and team visited Spicehaus, a "cocktail bar pharmacy" where bartenders dress like pharmacists, on Dizengoff St.
On his first night in Jerusalem, Conan visited the popular Mamilla Hotel Rooftop. While he didn't visit Jerusalem's popular Crave Gourmet Street Food, the Mahane Yehuda spot got in the Conan spirit, introducing a special Conan-themed burger.
Conan O'Brien-fever has gripped the nation over the past week. His most recent stops in Jerusalem have included meeting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and smoking hookah in the West Bank.
