The Haifa District Court on Thursday convicted six men from Haifa for involvement in the murder of Israel Defense Forces soldier Nidal Mansour at a nightclub in the city three years ago.

The sixth suspect, Asi Edri, 22, was convicted of aiding manslaughter and aiding a crime with a weapon.

The indictment stated that Mansour, a 20 year-old resident of Usfiya, came to the beachside nightclub Rocko-bitzwith the intention of enjoying a Friday night out with friends. He was killed in the cross-fire after the suspects shot at a security guard who allegedly would not allow them to re-enter the club after Edri assaulted one of the bouncers.

According to the indictment, the suspects fled the nightclub after the attack, and then hid themselves in the stairwell at the home of the parents of Dudu and Ro'i Chapane with a concealed weapon.

The suspects returned to the area of the nightclub in two separate vehicles. One of them was a vehicle rented from a youth named Sami, who later became a state witness. The primary accused, Eitan Getz, rode with Sami. After they reached the location, Getz fired shots from the vehicle and struck Mansour. Mansour died from the wounds shortly after.

The four convicted of manslaughter are still to be sentenced
