Last update - 22:30 21/06/2008 Couple assaulted in restaurant after asking diners to stop smoking By Roni Singer-Heruti, Haaretz Correspondent Tags: Tel Aviv Magistrates' Court  The Tel Aviv Magistrates' Court extended on Friday the remand of four residents of Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan, who had been arrested on suspicion of attacking a couple who asked them to stop smoking at a restaurant. Late Thursday night police rushed to a restaurant in Ramat Hachayal, north Tel Aviv, after a scuffle had been reported. The victims told police that the defendants assaulted them after they had complained to the restaurant staff of their smoking on the premises. Advertisement When the waitress asked the men to put out their cigarettes, they were enraged by the request and attacked the couple, hurling glass bottles at them.
