A fire erupted on Saturday at the Maale Hachamisha hotel in the Jerusalem hills.

Six firefighter crews and one airplane succeeded in controlling the flames, which spread in the direction of Maale Hachamisha, the village of Abu Ghosh and Kiryat Anavim.

Police evacuated guests from the hotel along with several houses in Abu Ghosh. No one was injured in the blaze, but a school in Maale Hachamisha was damaged.

A large forest fire also raged on Saturday, burning dozens of dunams of land south of Nazareth. Three firefighter crews from Afula and Nazareth-Illit -with the help of two airplanes - worked to control the blaze.
