Three people were killed on Tuesday and another 10 were injured in four separate road accidents across the country.

Two people died and four were injured after a truck veered out of its lane and collided with another truck and a private vehicle on Highway 66 in the section between Hatishby and Megiddo Junctions.

Firefighters from the Jezreel Valley and Magen David Adom medical crews treated the wounded and transported them to a hospital. Police investigators are combing the site looking for clues into the accident.

The section of the highway is classified as a "red highway," where many deadly accidents have occurred in the past. The maximum speed limit for this section of the road is set at just 60 kilometers per hour.

Earlier Tuesday, one man was killed and five others injured in a car accident in Kiryat Shmona. One of the injured is listed in moderate condition and another was lightly hurt, the result of a collision between two private vehicles traveling on Tel Hai Avenue in Kiryat Shmona. An initial probe into the accident revealed indications that one of the drivers passed through a red light.

Meanwhile, a 40-year-old woman on a motorcycle suffered serious head injuries after colliding with a vehicle on Highway 5 near the Hatikva Interchange. She is currently receiving treatment at Beilinson Hospital, where she is breathing with the aid of a respirator and remains unconscious.

Earlier Tuesday morning, two trucks collided at Morasha Junction. There were no injuries, however diesel fuel spilled onto the road.
