Paramedics rescue Jerusalem baby after he nearly drowns in bath
By Jack Khoury, Haaretz Correspondent, and Haaretz Service

Two small children nearly drowned Friday in two separate incidents in Jerusalem and Acre.

An 8 month-old baby was hospitalized in critical condition after nearly drowning in the bathtub of his Jerusalem home.

Paramedics who were rushed to the scene found the infant without a pulse, and only after repeated resuscitation attempts were they able to bring his pulse back. The medics then took the baby to hospital, where his condition was declared critical.

Elsewhere on Friday, a 4 year-old toddler nearly drowned in a swimming pool in an Acre country club. He suffered light to moderate injury and was taken to hospital in Nahariya.
