Haaretz's Ben Simon bids journalism farewell as he prepares to enter politics
By Haaretz Staff and Channel 10

Haaretz.com/Channel 10 daily feature for June 12, 2008.

Acclaimed Haaretz correspondent Daniel Ben Simon has decided to leave the world of print and TV journalism and join that of Israeli party politics.

After years of soul-searching, Ben Simon has chosen to join the Labor party and is now adamant that this was the correct move to make.

The accomplished writer is following in the footsteps of Yosef (Tommy) Lapid and Shelly Yachimovich, who both left journalism to pursue political careers.
