Witnesses: Palestinian man killed by IDF fire in Hebron

Israel Defense Forces soldiers shot dead a Palestinian man in the West Bank city of Hebron, Palestinian witnesses and medical workers said on Thursday.

Witnesses said the man, Adham al-Rajabee, was armed and was fighting in a clan feud that has killed two people in the past two days. They said soldiers appeared to mistake him for a wanted militant and shot him.

An IDF spokeswoman said soldiers opened fire on three armed Palestinians that came close to troops operating in the West Bank city.

Earlier on Thursday, Israeli soldiers seriously injured a Palestinian teenager during a raid in a village north of Hebron.

An army spokesman said the soldiers opened fire on a group of Palestinians who hurled fire-bombs towards IDF forces during a raid in the area.
