Israel's growing status in the business world means more visitors with money, and hotel owners are jumping at the chance to provide the affluent tourists the chicest of shelters.

After years of stagnation in the hotel business, tourism is back up and managers are eager to bring the Israeli scene up to date and offer visitors luxury with a hip twist.

outique hotels have thus found their niche: lavish, "eclectic" lodgings where caviar is served for breakfast by a butler.
