Karnit Goldwasser, wife of abducted IDF soldier Ehud Goldwasser (Jini)
Families of missing reservists greet return of bodies by Hezbollah with wall of silence

The families of abducted Israel Defense Forces soldiers Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser on Sunday chose not to comment on Hezbollah's unexpected decision to return the body parts of Israeli troops killed during the Second Lebanon War.

Karnit Goldwasser, the wife of Ehud Goldwasser, said she was not interested in responding to the developments at the border crossing between Israel and Lebanon.

Last week, she gave a terse response to news of a reported development in negotiations between Hezbollah and Israel. "All I can say is that we hope what is happening signals that progress is being made toward an arrangement and that the two [abducted] soldiers will be back soon," she said.

Miki Goldwasser, the abducted soldier's mother, told reporters she was keeping track of developments through the media outlets. "We have no idea what's going on and we have no news. It's difficult for me to estimate where this is all leading to," she said.

Over the past few weeks, the Regev and Goldwasser families have been reluctant to talk to the press about the rumored progress in talks concerning a potential prisoner swap. They say they are worried their comments in the media could be exploited for purposes of psychological warfare by Hezbollah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah.
