A 64-year-old man turned himself in to police on Wednesday hours after he reportedly stabbed a urologist during an examination at the Kaplan hospital in Rehovot.

Shortly after noon, the suspect checked himself into the emergency room and while he was being examined, he reportedly attacked the doctor, stabbing him and moderately wounding him.

The suspect then reportedly fled the scene only turning himself in hours later, after police had closed the hospital to carry out a search.
