Free tours to the sites of the first settlements, bonfires at the foot of Mount Tabor and water hikes in the center of the country. Lag Ba'omer offers you the chance to take part in an abundance of special trips throughout Israel.

An alternative Lag Ba'Omer
On the eve of Lag Ba'Omer, you are invited to celebrate in Park Ha'Yarkon, Tel Aviv and participate in activities to learn more about our environment; the film, 'Animals in love' will also be shown on a huge screen.

Fire festival on the sand dunes
A family night hike through the sand dunes in Park Nitzanim. After you have followed some of the animals that live in the dunes, you will be invited to assemble around a bonfire to celebrate with marshmallows, songs and a good atmosphere.

Bonfire at the foot of Mount Tabor
A Galilean Lag Ba'Omer experience that will start with a short hike up to the summit of Mount Tabor to take in the views over the valley. Towards the evening, participate in a night tour through the forest of Kibbutz Beit Keshet, followed by a bonfire with stories, songs and marshmallows.

Kabbalat Shabbat with wings
A bird-watching outing for all the family that will take place during the early evening by the fish pools at Kibbutz Ma'agan Michael. During the trip, observe the wide range of birds that nest in the pools. Sunset will be spent at the beach where activities for all the family will be run and Kabbalat Shabbat celebrated.

Celebrate with crocodiles
A weekend celebration in Park Emet Hatninim in Moshav Beit Hanania that will start with a bonfire on Friday evening, followed by the olive harvest, grape pressing, feeding the crocodiles and more on the Saturday.
