Last year saw a five percent rise in the number of complaints submitted by Israel Defense Forces soldiers against their commanders.

Of 6,404 complaints that were filed, 2,736 were found to be justified, 1,076 were found to be unjustified and the rest are still under investigation.

ost of the complaints did not come from highly sought-after infantry units, but rather from units that are considered less prestigious.

In one incident, a female soldier complained about her commander, also a woman, who ordered her not to file a complaint over an incident of sexual harassment that she suffered at her military base.
