A mega-event hosted by President Shimon Peres, Israel's most recognizable diplomat, starts on Tuesday, and has sent Jerusalem into a flurry of planning.

The Jewish People Policy Planning Institute is helping plan the 2008 President's Conference, which will see the most heads of state in Israel at one time since the funeral for slain prime minister Itzhak Rabin.
