The body of an Israeli tourist was found on Sunday in the southern Peruvian city of Aricifa. She has been identified as Tamar Shahak, 22.

The Foreign Ministry said local police were investigating the circumstances of the woman's death with the help of the Interpol agency.

Criminal activity is suspected to be behind Shehek's death, officials said, as her body was found with strangle marks. Her family has been notified, but her body will remain in Peru pending investigation into the circumstances of the situation.

Meanwhile, the bodies of five Israelis killed in a jeep collision in the southwestern Bolivian town of Uyuni were shipped to Israel this weekend, and were expected to arrive before dawn Monday.

Their bodies were transferred on Friday to the Bolivian capital, La Paz.

The women killed have been identified as Daniella Aztmon, Adi Roseman, Ortal Dukas and Sivan Bodanditsk. The male victim, who joined the girls in the jeep as a last-minute replacement for one of their friends, was identified as Liran Mizrachi, 21, from Tel Aviv.

In an interview with Army Radio, Ortal's parents, Alon and Ilana Dukas, said they would like to have a joint funeral for the girls.
