Worsening anesthesiologist shortage threatens Israeli hospitals

A severe shortage in anesthesiologists is stretching thin the ability of Israeli hospitals to provide proper care.

Due to the profession's lack of glamour and dwindling numbers of medical professionals immigrating from the former Soviet Union, there are currently six anesthesiologists in Israel for every hundred residents. Germany, on the other hand, has 20.
