A team dispatched to the site tried a number of procedures to revitalize the little girl but declared her dead shortly after arrival.

The reasons for her death are still unclear.

Police investigators have opened a probe to determine various leads, including crib death, an undiagnosed disease or negligence on the part of daycare staff.
