Two children and one senior citizen die in separate car accidents
By Haaretz Service
Tags: Kfar Sava, Traffic accidents

A 10-year-old boy was fatally hit by a car on Avraham Bar Street near Hazahav Mall in Rishon Lezion.

Earlier on Thursday, a five-and-a-half-year-old boy was killed in Kfar Sava, after he stepped down from the vehicle transporting him and other children and became entangled in its wheels. A Magen David Adom emergency team was called to the site of the accident on Yonah Street and evacuated the child to Meir Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver, 40, was questioned, and it was discovered that he has six previous traffic violations.

Earlier Thursday, an 85-year-old man was run over by a commercial vehicle at the intersection between Kiryat Bialik and Kiryat Motzkin. A Magen David Adom emergency unit tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate the victim.
