It's settled: Morrissey will perform in Israel in summer

Pop legend Morrissey will play in Israel in the summer, one night only, former The Smiths frontman confirmed in a video released this week. The video ends days of speculation in the Israeli media that he would be appearing here this year.

rissey says in the video that he will be performing at Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv on July 29, as part of the Heatwave festival. He appears in the footage with the word "Israel" scrawled in Hebrew in Gothic lettering on his right arm. He ends the message with the words "God bless Israel, stay nice."
