Poll: 41% of Gazans would like to leave Strip at once
By Haaretz Service

Army Radio reported Tuesday that a new poll shows that 41 percent of Gazans would like to leave the Strip immediately, and that 94 percent believe that Gaza's economic situation has significantly worsened since Hamas rule began.

It said a Near East poll of 900 Palestinians in Gaza also showed that 64 percent of respondents live under the poverty line.

Half of the Gazans polled said that they "felt less secure since the [June, 2007] Hamas takeover," 32 percent said they felt more secure, and 18 percent said they felt no change, the radio said.
