The leading destination for outbound flights during Passover turns out to be Turkey, with 400 departures taking off from Ben-Gurion Airport, the Israel Airports Authority reported.

The second most popular destination is Italy, with 260 flights, and France, with 240 flights. About 520,000 passengers will take off on more than 3,200 flights during the Passover travel season, which begins tomorrow and will end on April 29.

The numbers reflect an increase of more than 25% in outgoing Passover holiday tourism over 2007.
