Last update - 15:02 12/04/2008 One killed, several wounded in Tel Aviv area violence By Roni Singer-Heruti and Eli Ashkenazi, Haaretz Correspondents Tags: Israel, crime, police  A man was killed and at least nine others were injured in a series of violent incident in the Tel Aviv area on Friday night and early Saturday morning. Mohammed Ashrawi, 23, from Jaffa was critically wounded by gun shots in the city's Bikurei Zion Street. He was taken to Holon's Wolfsohn hospital where he later died of his wounds. Two other Jaffa residents were also moderately and seriously wounded in the incident. Police believe the gunman was a long-standing enemy of the victims, trying to settle the score in a long dispute. Advertisement Meanwhile, a 40-year-old resident of Nazareth was arrested Friday night after being lightly wounded by gunshots during a scuffle. Three men, including two brothers of the victim, were later arrested on suspicion of involvement. Early Saturday morning, a 38-year-old Jerusalemite was severely wounded by stabbing in a Tel Aviv nightclub. In November last year the security director of the nightclub, Night, and another man were shot and killed outside the door. The murder case has yet to be solved, but police said that if Saturday's stabbing took place on the premises they will consider closing it.
