Last update - 01:22 06/04/2008 Israeli killed in Angola, probably during a robbery By Barak Ravid An Israeli citizen was killed on Friday in the Angolan capital city of Luanda, apparently during a robbery. The Israeli, who also holds a Russian passport, was in Angola working for a Russian diamond company that operates in that region. Advertisement The man's family was initially told by the Russian consulate in Angola that he had died of natural causes. However, after his relatives sought more information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem, they were told by officials that he had actually been murdered. An initial investigation into the incident revealed that unknown assailants had attacked the man. They then tried to grab the bag he was holding, believing that he was carrying diamonds. It appears the man was killed during the attack. According to reports, the Foreign Ministry was preparing to ship the body back to Israel.
