Kadima MK Yoel Hasson (Tomer Appelbaum) Last update - 20:16 03/04/2008 Critic of Netanyahu's splurge was also guest of U.K. Jews By Guy Leshem, TheMarker Correspondent Tags: Benjamin Netanyahu  Kadima MK Yoel Hasson, who urged Attorney General Menachem Mazuz to launch an inquest into the funding of Likud Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu's luxurious London trip during the Second Lebanon War, had himself traveled to London a few days before at the expense of the U.K. Jewish community, TheMarker has learned. Last month, Channel 10 revealed that the cost of the former prime minister's trip was underwritten by a British Jewish millionaire. Consequently, MK Hasson asked Mazuz to inquire whether business interests were behind Netanyahu's invitation. Advertisement Soon after coming back from London in 2006, Hasson, who was then a newly-elected MK, traveled to Japan on a 10-day trip at the expense of the Japanese government. On another occasion, he was invited by the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles to a two-week visit to the U.S. Hasson said in response that "the trips were duly approved by the Knesset, in line with the regulations of the house."
