Prison Break star teams up with Dana International for spoof Israeli ad
By Haaretz Service
Tags: Prison Break

American TV star Wentworth Miller has teamed up with Israeli transsexual pop diva Dana International for a commercial that spoofs his own hit series "Prison Break."

The commercial, which advertises Israel's YES satellite TV company, shows a prison uniform clad Miller and others running through a water logged tunnel while dogs can be heard barking in the background.

Miller directs his companions toward a metal bar door, where they are met by Dana International, who locks the exit to the tunnel and drops the key down the front of her dress. Then, in a mixture of Hebrew and English, informs Miller that he cannot escape as that would mean the whole series is "fatut."

Miller, whose show can be seen in Israel on YES and in the U.S. on FOX, recently visited Israel. He is the latest in a series of American celebrities to appear in Israeli advertisements.

Several years ago, actor Chris Noth, who plays Carrie Bradshaw's love interest in HBO's acclaimed Sex and the City, appeared in a commercial for an Israeli deodorant.

Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Bradshaw in the series and the upcoming spin-off movie, also appeared in a commercial in Israel for Lux soap. The advert, which featured a scantily-clad Parker, was altered to make her appear more modestly dressed following complaints and boycott threats from the ultra-Orthodox community.
