IDF prepares for sophisticated network of Hamas tunnels in Gaza

For more than a year now, Israel's leadership has been threatening a major invasion of the Gaza Strip to counter Hamas terror activity.

But the threats are by no means empty, and as the major ground operation that seems to be perpetually on the horizon nears, the Israel Defense Forces prepares to fight increasingly sophisticated Hamas forces.

At the IDF Ze'elim training base near the Gaza border, soldiers are preparing to cope with a complex network of Hamas tunnels, bunkers and trenches.
