Ch. 2 airs satellite footage after High Court rejects Ch. 10 appeal

Israel's Channel 2 on Friday aired exclusive satellite footage it had received from the Israel Defense Forces intelligence corps, after the High Court of Justice rejected an appeal by Channel 10 against the airing of the pictures.

Earlier on Friday, Ch. 10 petitioned the High Court and demanded that Ch. 2 be prohibited from airing exclusive footage it got from the IDF spokesperson, which was taken by the IDF Ofek 7 satellite. In the petition, Ch. 10 heads stated that by providing Ch. 2 with the exclusive material, the IDF gave the rival network an unfair advantage.

The Military Advocate General said in response that the IDF spokesperson passes exclusive material to one media network at a time, in an alternating way.

The aired footage included satellite pictures of the Iranian nuclear facilities.
