Netanya Market
Shop review
In Netanya's city center you can find a food bazaar selling a range of fruit and vegetables that is well known for its colorful stores and exotic aromas.

This market was founded in the late 1950s by immigrants from Libya and Tunisia, and their spirit can still be felt in the spice shops, the butcher shops and the famous Tripoli-style restaurants.

Years later came the Russian immigrants, and they, too, left their mark, with small stalls selling round loaves of black bread and numerous delis on the adjacent streets.

Now, next to the signs in Hebrew and Russian there are also signs in French touting the virtues of a boulangerie or charchouterie, a sign of the large French-Jewish community that has settled in the city in recent years.

Alternatively for clothes, shoes, jewellery and other items head down to the market located in the industrial area, opposite the Hadarim Mall, open every Tuesday and Friday morning.
