Al-Jazeera slams Israeli boycott as attack on freedom of expression

The Foreign Ministry's decision on Wednesday to boycott Al-Jazeera stemmed from government outrage at the network's coverage of Israel Defense Forces operations in Gaza, which the ministry said constituted incitement to terror.

The Qatari-based TV network's Jerusalem bureau denounced the decision as anti-democratic and an attack on the freedom of expression.
