Six people were injured, three of them moderately, in a fire that ravaged an Or Akiva apartment building on Sunday afternoon.

The victims included a toddler and a 60-year-old who broke his hip while jumping from the second floor trying to escape the fire.

The victims were taken to the Hillel Yaffe hospital in Hadera, having sustained smoke inhalation injuries.

A Magen David Adom emergency medical services spokesman said ten ambulances had rushed to the site.

A team of Hadera's police and fire brigade, headed by Chief Superintendent Moshe Cohen, is investigating the cause of the fire.
